If you have ever tried the IL-2 PC flight simulator series from Ubisoft & 1c Maddox then I'm sure that you will agree that this is the most realistic WWII PC sims to date! The graphics are incredible, and the flight models, very accurate! Don't be fooled by the title, it's not just Sturmovicks, this sim has it all, Bf-109's, P-47's, Spitfires, P-40's, just to name a few!

I decided to create this page on the internet to educate the public about the true cost of cheap pirated R/C plans. I know, we all want to save money, but saving money in the short term can cost you much more in the long run. Think of changing the oil in your automobile. Sure, you can simply not change the oil and save every few months, but can you save enough to buy a new engine when your current one stops working? Probably not. It's very much the same with Pirated R/C plans, sure you can buy a set of Brian Taylor’s drawings for 1/2 the price on eBay, but what happens when designers stop making plans? Also, consider the cost of the plans on a scale. Lets say that a typical plans built warbird will cost you $3,000.00 in materials when you are done. The average set of plans is say $45.00, that's 1.5% of the cost of your model. So you saved how much at the expense of the guy who put just as many hours (if not more) designing the plans as you did building your model? In my book that is the equivalent of someone stomping your newly completed model as soon as you finish it!

Education

Our best defense to ensure the continued supply of new plans is to educate ourselves and simply not buy Pirated/Stolen plans. If you have ever had an econimics class, think of supply and demand. If there is no market for Pirated plans, then there will be no pirates selling plans, problem solved!
