I will gladly provide shipping insurance upon request, shipping insurance will be billed in addition to the invoice amount shown. About Pilot Scale Most of the pilots that I sell are 12” tall. There seems to be a common consensus that a 12” tall figure is 1/6 scale. Well, that is a true statement if the “real” pilot is 6 feet tall. A 5’ 6” tall “real” pilot would make the 12” pilot closer to 1/5 scale. I prefer to use these 12” figures in 1/5 to 1/6 scale applications. Really, the import thing for me is, “does it look right?”. Another important concept to remember is that just because the kit or ARF manufacturer states that a model is a particular scale does not mean that this is correct. For example, the 1/5 scale PICA T-28 Trojan kit is not 1/5 scale at all, it’s just barely larger than 1/6 scale. ALWAYS check the scale of your model for yourself. |
